HPC SysAdmin

Job Definition.

Join our dynamic and innovative team as a HPC System Administrator! Be part of our cutting-edge projects where you’ll collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our infrastructure and services, with a special focus on our High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments and AI-driven applications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance computing infrastructure
  • Optimizing network configurations for efficient data processing and storage
  • Managing cloud computing resources and ensuring scalability and reliability
  • Providing support for users’ applications including troubleshooting and performance tuning
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of HPC systems

Skills and Experience.

Essential skills

  • High degree (Master or PhD level) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 
  • Proven experience in infrastructure design and implementation 
  • Good knowledge of Linux Enterprise distributions (RedHat EL, SLES, Ubuntu, etc.) 
  • Scripting knowledge with Bash and Python 
  • A strong background in infrastructure, networking, cloud computing, and application support 
  • A focus on supporting users’ applications 

Preferential requirements.

  • Experience with InfiniBand 
  • Experience with GPU clusters using NVIDIA environment 
  • Experience with job schedulers (Slurm, PBS, LSF…) 
  • Experience with containerization in HPC workloads (Singularity, Pyxis, Apptainer…) 
  • Experience with cluster management tools 
  • Contributions in HPC projects, experience with DevOps and automation tools 

Personal Attributes.

  • Very good French elocution 
  • Good understanding in English
